Darcy Edmonds Memorial Tournament

September 13 – 15, 2002

 

 

In this, our inaugural season, we had only six teams…not a bad start. There were four Storm Program teams (three just thrown together and the Ravens), Lexington (later to become the Mustang Sallies), and the Phantoms. We had two divisions of three teams each, and in the round robin had cross over games between divisions. We didn’t have the rink, exclusively, for the entire weekend. A group of figure skaters, longtime renters for that weekend, took a big chunk of the ice time Saturday morning. And there was a men’s pickup hockey group Sunday morning that we also had to dodge. But everything went off without a hitch, and we all had a great time.
